GoRiichi
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
GoRiichi is a peer-to-peer multiplayer riichi mahjong game with a realistic approach, in that it aims to feel like actual real-life play, with all tiles visible on the table, limited tile highlighting, and call buttons are not available only when you can actually call tiles.
This game is aimed at people learning riichi mahjong, or who do not want the game to assist them as much as some others do. There are also no timers for thinking time. It is best suited to casual play with friends.
Important note: You will need to forward a UDP port and give your IP address to your friends so they can connect to your game.
Additional tools are provided: a scoring table, descriptions of all yakus, a score calculator, and a 2D/3D tile viewer for hands or arbitrary tiles.
Important note 2: The game is still in development, the provided builds are a development demo which is playable, but options are not available yet, and the game may crash unexpectedly, especially if one player has connection issues during the game. Please report any bugs or crashes you may encounter.
